Crunch by the Numbers: 2025

March 5, 2026

2025 at Crunch Fitness

Our year in review data shows how Crunch members are showing up and sweating it out. We took a deep dive into check-ins, classes, and membership trends across the country, and the results show a fitness community that’s more dynamic than ever.

Checking in on check-ins

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 5 and 6 pm see the largest percentage of total check-ins, showing that early in the week, post-workday workouts remain the most popular.

Right behind those peak hours are:

  • Weekday afternoons between 3 and 8 pm
  • Saturday mornings between 8 and 10 am
  • Monday mornings at 9 am

Check-ins during weekday mornings and afternoons show that hybrid work schedules are giving members more flexibility to hit the gym outside the traditional evening rush. This post-pandemic work culture makes way for midday lifts and fewer excuses.

January and February have the highest percentage of check-ins, as members chase their resolutions and kick off the year with fresh fitness goals.

Group Fitness at Crunch

Group fitness continues to be a huge part of the Crunch experience. We celebrate our members and staff that keep bringing the energy to the studio.

Here’s what the group fitness looked like in 2025:

  • 847,384 classes delivered
  • 11,296,350 total attendees
  • 270,000+ attendees per week
  • 10,000+ instructors

That’s millions of Crunchers making reps, rides, flows, and dance breaks happen in studios across the country.

The Classes Everyone Is Talking About

Across Crunch gyms nationwide, a handful of classes consistently bring the heat and keep studios packed.

Top group fitness classes at Crunch:

  • Zumba – aerobic exercise with rhythmic movements
  • The Ride – interactive cycling
  • Yoga Body Sculpt – combination of strength, flexibility, mind, and body in a flowing sequence
  • Barbell, 30/45 – strength training with barbell and resistance bands
  • Belly, Butt & Thighs – booty-burning, core-sculpting strength work with cardiovascular segments
  • Top it Off – tone and chisel arms, shoulders, chest, and back

What Different Members Love Most

Fitness looks different for everyone. Here we keep open minds: there is no one type or way in our diverse community. Come as you are!

Most popular classes among women were dance, strength, and mixed format classes.

Most popular classes among men were Boxing, HIITZone, and Ride.

Our trends show women are increasingly prioritizing strength-based classes, showing a shift toward building power and performance.

Age has shown to also play a role in class preferences:

  • Most popular classes among 21–30 year olds: Hot Stuff, Mind Body, and Ride
  • Most popular classes among 31–40 year olds: Boxing, HIITZone, Hot Stuff, and Ride

Our “Young, Strong & Social” members (age 18–34) are blending high-energy workouts like Ride with Mind Body and Hot Stuff heated classes, creating a more holistic approach to wellness that supports mental health, mobility, and longevity.

The Classes Growing the Fastest

Total group fitness class attendance increased by 36% YoY.

Strength training is leading the charge:

  • Strength classes drew the highest attendance with 4,272,371 total attendees (an increase by 36% YoY).

But the biggest growth story belongs to mind-body workouts.

  • Mind Body classes are the fastest growing classes across the country, with 2,254,336 total attendees (an increase by 78% YoY).

A major driver of that spike? The introduction of Hot Stuff studios and heated group fitness classes, including yoga, Pilates, and mobility. Turns out people love breaking a sweat while improving flexibility, recovery, and overall wellness!

Crunch Keeps Growing

Crunch isn’t slowing down, and neither are our members.

Between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025, 91 clubs opened, bringing the Crunch experience to even more communities.

Membership growth has been strong across the country:

  • Lower Midwest: +88% membership growth from Jan to Oct 2025
  • Mid-Atlantic: +35%
  • West Central: +32%

Nationwide, members are showing up and building routines that fit their lifestyles.

With new clubs opening and millions of check-ins powering the growth, the #CrunchFam is only getting stronger.

We love our Crunchers, we can’t “weight” to see what 2026 has in store!
